Eclipse Rich Client Platform is a solid framework for developing platform-independent desktop applications with Java. JRuby enables using Java libraries in the terser friendlier syntax of Ruby. So, how about we combine the two of them: JRuby and RCP!
This talk has also been submitted for EclipseCon 2008 as a proposal: JRuby on RCP
Doors open at 6 PM for pizza and chat. The presentations begin at 6:30 PM.
Please note that this meeting occurs on a Thursday, as opposed to the usual convention of meeting on Mondays.
